Odd 120 Roll film camera
This very nearly went in the bin. I couldn't get the shutter to work. It looked like the linkage had broken because I could fire it from within the camera. And then, all of a sudden, I tripped the telescoping lens. With the lens extended, the linkage connected and all was well.
Now I know that most digital compacts have telescoping lenses, but they were unheard of in the fifties. The best you could hope for was a fold out bellows. This was a very neat idea.
Dacora was very much the Cosina of its day and made very many cameras under other company's branding.
Dacora Digna is a medium format roll 120 film viewfinder camera made by Dacora and produced between 1954-59.
The amazing thing is that this camera is only a fraction bigger than other similar 35mm cameras in my collection
